Directions to Craigdarroch Castle
Getting to The Castle from downtown Victoria is easy and convenient whether
you want to walk, bike, drive or take the bus. Craigdarroch Castle is situated
in the Rockland neighbourhood that evolved out of the sale of the Dunsmuir
estate and now has some beautiful old homes and tree lined streets.
Once you have completed a tour why not walk down to Government House
or over to the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria for additional history and
cultural experiences. If you are driving, there is limited free parking at
The Castle.
Driving:
An easy eight-minute drive from Victoria’s inner harbour, up Fort Street,
then turn right on Joan Crescent. Parking is available.
Walking:
A 40-45 minute walk from the inner harbour, up Fort Street, along Antique
Row and various interesting shops and sights. Turn right on Joan Crescent and
it’s a two-minute walk to the entrance.
Taking the Bus.
If you prefer to use the City bus system routes 11 and 14 from Fort St. and
Government St. will drop you off at the foot of Joan Crescent, a two minute
walk to the Castle’s doorstep. We have added links to those two routes below
for your convenience.
